This project was born out of a necessity to efficiently store my bikes in the basement of my apartment, where space was limited.
I opted for a simple waterjet cut and folded solution. The material is 3 mm stainless steel.
Added some foam inserts to the inner hook portion to avoid top tube damage.
Initially I had planned to have the rack powder-coated, but in the end it was left raw to save on cost and I think it looks fine considering the surroundings.
Attached to the concrete block wall using masonry anchors.
Cut-outs were intentionally placed on the top surface to allow for the use of a D-lock or chain for security.
I’m happy with the result, functional and unobtrusive.
